After being an a twitter war with Jeb Bush, Trump said that George W. Bush is partly to blame because 9/11 happened on his watch and he did not do enough to keep us safe. When swarmed by media Trump was unprecedentedly quiet when being asked several questions by media outlets a strong sway in the opposite direction of Donald who always seems to enjoy going on a tangent and speaking his mind. Marked a "truther" by the white house press secretary of George W. Bush or someone who believes that the government was behind the attacks on September 11th. The backlash did not stop there, Trump was asked if every bad event that has happened during the Obama administration is the presidents fault. Trump failed to answer any of the questions. Trump simply said we "need a leader" something he claims we don't have right now.
I feel like he plans his rants, and when something he doesn't expect happens, such as a question that he didn't anticipate, he just ignores it because he doesn't know what to say.
I actually found this quite amusing. Just because the WTC was attacked under President Bush's term does not mean it was his fault. Pearl Harbor was attacked under Franklin Roosevelt's presidency, does that mean FDR is to blame. I think Trump's comment was unnecessary and he might've realized it when he refused to answrer questions regarding the twitter post.
...At this point, I am beginning to question as to whether Trump is being serious, if he's just doing this stuff for popularity, or if he really isn't taking the campaign seriously at all. I would guess the second answer, but I'm beginning to lean a bit towards the third. He keeps making crazy claims, only to refuse to answer any questions regarding it. His Twitter and other social media are prime examples of this.

ReplyDeleteThat is interesting that he is choosing not to comment when usually he is so outspoken. Maybe he regrets what he said?
ReplyDeleteJet fuel can't melt steel beams. But yeah, I think Donald made a mistake and doesn't want to admit it since it's against his character.
