Donald Trump's denial challenged by reporter

The New York Times is angry that Donald Trump appeared to mock one of its reporters who has a physical disability, but the candidate denied Thursday that he was mimicking the reporter.
Trump accused the reporter of "using his disability to grandstand."
Trump waved his arms in an awkward manner at a rally in South Carolina Tuesday night while talking about a comment made by Serge Kovaleski. Kovaleski has a chronic condition called arthrogryposis, which limits the movement of his arms.
The New York Times was offended. "We find it's outrageous that he would ridicule the appearance of one of our reporters," a spokesperson told CNNMoney.
Kovaleski, who had previously worked at the Washington Post and the New York Daily News, had covered Trump many times in New York.
Trump, however, said he did not know Kovaleski.

  1. This is the problem with the Trump campaign. He is ABSOLUTELY going to get away with this because his supporters honestly don't care. People are too busy making YouTube reels of Trump "stumping" people to think about what kind of president this man would make. He has called for a registration process for all Muslim-Americans, a giant wall to be built on the Mexican border, he suggests that all immigrants are criminals and rapist while running for the highest office in a nation built by immigrants, and now he is making fun of people with disabilities. It all is fun and good until you step back and realize he is the leading Republican candidate by a very wide margin. Someone as insensitive and radical as Trump surely can't be who we want dealing with the global issues that America finds herself entrenched in.

  2. Completely agree with Patrick. He's gone too far and it saddens me to see him as the leading Republican candidate. He's a terrible insensitive man and people make light of his jokes and campaign when it should be taken more seriously.

  3. This sounds exactly like something Trump would do. He's just that kind of person. He can be nice if he tries really hard but I think this is just his nature. He will always speak his mind no matter what and while that character has it's positive sides, lots of negativity can come of it as well.

  4. The sad thing avout this kind of stuff is that people would think that this would hurt him, but in reality, these rude gestures are getting reactions, which in turn are raising his popularity. What he's been doing is absolutely horrible, but his supporters don't care, and it gives him more popularity as he does this stuff.

  5. Trump is similar to sanders in their sense of boldness. Both say the first thing that comes to their mind without censorship, maybe the public isn't ready for a president that actually voices their true intentions.
