Donald Trump has only kind words for his Rivals

The morning after the fourth Republican debate, Donald Trump is playing Mr. Nice Guy. During an interview on MSNBC's Trump refused multiple opportunities to jab any of his opponents. He said he didn't think anybody did poorly and noted that the GOP candidates were getting better with each passing debate. He also praised Ben Carson saying, I thought he was good. He also stated that his other opponent Jeb Bush "couldn't be nicer". Trump tweeted " Loved doing the debate...won Drudge and all on-line polls! Amazing evening, moderators did an outstanding job." Is it totally weird that Trump is changing into someone nice? Did anyone know that Trump had a nice side? Maybe in his president like manner he will rise in the polls next week, because obviously playing the "bad cop" isn't working out too well anymore.

  1. This is actually pretty funny and unexpected. Maybe Trump started to get nervous because of his decline in polls and thought this would help him. I'm quite confident that this will just hurt him further though. Especially funny that he says this after vehemently attacking Carson and comparing him to a child molestor.

  4. I agree with all of you. This sudden change in attitude is rather fishy. As Ben said in his Week 7 report, Trump can't suddenly start acting too nice. It really causes suspicion after all that he has said and done.

  5. Looks like he's trying to change some of his ways after his decrease in popularity. It might work or it might not, but I think that it's a little suspicious. Kind of interesting how he can change his character so quickly... He was known for his opinionated rude remarks after all.

  7. I think that this change in character will show the public that Trump isn't only a meany loud-mouth. This might show people that they can vote for him and he can take his job seriously and say the right things in the right way. People scared that his brash manners could cause problems if he was president but now that they know he can be nice too, they might think differently.

  8. I think the best way to be successful is to be a good sportsman which Trump has seemed to learn. By being positive and supportive of others this reflects on you and your character. I hope he keeps this up, it might give him a rise in the poles.

  9. I agree with Flavius, I think Trump it's just acting being a good sport about it and maybe its surprising to people but I don't think hes just acting up. Trump really let his nice side show and hes attracting good attention from these characteristics.

  10. Trump is a very dangerous candidate if he is doing what analysts think he is. Potentially, he came out hard and crazy to grab votes and popularize himself. Now that he is a front runner he gets to back off and show that he is President material. This come out strong and develop moderation strategy might normalize his support with the GOP and put him far ahead of Ben Carson. Carson is now pulling alot of the far right votes from Trump so it will be very intersting to see if moderate Trump can start stealing from Jeb and Rubio.

  12. I think he's just testing out being nicer to see if it will raise him in the polls.
